FC Porto won the national championship for the 31st time, after a 1-0 victory over Alverca at the Estádio do Dragão. The home team, led by Italian coach Francesco Farioli, reached 85 points, nine more than Benfica, second-placed, and 12 more than Sporting, third-placed, with one game less, when there are two rounds left. At the Estádio do Dragão, the home team took the lead at 41 minutes with Bednarek's goal making the result that remained unchanged until the end. FC Porto, which only needed to draw to secure the title, achieved what they were looking for and won the national championship for the 31st time.
